1933 – 2013

LEWISTON — Renald “Ronnie” Rivard, 80, resident of Oak Park in Lewiston, died on Monday, June 17, at Russell Park Manor.

He was born in Lewiston on April 25, 1933, the son of Louis and Daisy Gagnon Rivard.

He was a hand sewer most of his life and worked at Belgrade Shoe and Sebago Shoe, but mostly at Plymouth Shoe in Massachusetts, where he was employed for 21 years. There, he married the former Lisette Rodrigue. 

He was in the Army during the Korean conflict and honorably discharged in 1955. 

He is survived by three sons, Mike of Auburn, Robbie of Florida and Guy of Mass; a daughter, Kathy of Florida; and a brother, Normand of Lewiston.

He is predeceased by a brother, Marcel; and sisters, Monita, Yvette of Lewiston and Terry of Massachusetts.
