DIXFIELD — A free concert by Sammie Angel will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at the Village Green.

Strawberry festival June 30

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will hold their annual strawberry festival from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30.

Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11, or until sold out, featuring Belgian waffles with fresh picked strawberries and whipped cream or pancakes and sausage or bacon. Cost of $6 also includes orange juice and coffee or tea.

Also available will be baked goods, raffles and a lobster roll or chicken roll lunch. Served with chips, a pickle and strawberry shortcake, the lobster will be $7.50 and the chicken $6.50.

Fresh picked strawberries by the pint or quart and strawberry shortcake with fresh baked biscuits will be offered all day.

Senior Center ice cream social

RUMFORD — The Rumford Senior Center will have an ice cream social at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at 50 Congress St.

Entertainment will be provided by Jay and Tammy Roy. Cost is $3.

Bethel Seniors meet July 10

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the Mill Hill Inn for their meeting and luncheon.

Meal choices are sauteed chicken with roasted vegetables or vegetarian platter and spring salad. Cost is $12.

RUMFORD — The Class of 1952 from Stephens High School will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 1, at the home of Angie and Reggie Arsenault of Roxbury Pond.

GRCC softball benefit event

RUMFORD — Greater Rumford Community Center will hold a benefit co-ed one pitch softball tournament at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4, at the three fields across from Hosmer Field.
