AUBURN — Frances A. Johnson, 79, passed away on June 30, at Clover Health Care Center, where she had been a resident for the past six years.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 9, 1933, the daughter of Earle C. and Alice E. (Greeley) Fickett. Frances spent her early years in Pownal. The family later moved to Danville.

She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1952. She lived and worked in Cleveland, Ohio, for a while, before returning to the Lewiston-Auburn area. She later took a job in the medical records department at Central Maine General Hospital, (now CMMC) which she greatly enjoyed.

In 1959, Fran married Richard L. Johnson, of Auburn. He predeceased her in 1984.

Frances will be remembered for her sense of humor, her fondness of cats and her love of all things chocolate.

She is survived by a son, John M. Johnson and his wife, Tina; a daughter, Julie A. Johnson; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Gail E. Fickett.
