School supply drive to help students

LEWISTON —  Staples, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and teen actor Jake T. Austin are kicking off a national school supply drive across the country. The annual Staples for Students National School Supply Drive will supply local students with the tools they need in school.

Beginning Sunday, Aug. 11, teens can drop off supplies at their nearest Staples store through Sunday, Aug. 18, and Staples will put the supplies in the hands of local BGCA students. Staples customers can also continue to donate $1 or more at their local store, 855 Lisbon St., through Sept. 28.

One hundred percent of the donations will benefit local students at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine.

The company kicked off the drive with a $125,000 donation in July.
