RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Robert R. “Beau” Beauchesne Sr., was celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at Parish of the Holy Savior.

Fr. Greg Dube was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist, accompanied by the choir. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “You Raise Me Up” and “Fly Like A Bird.”

The Old Testament was proclaimed by daughter-in-law Kelly Beauchesne. The New Testament was proclaimed by grandson Jacob Beauchesne. Offertory gifts were presented by granddaughters Emily and Bailey Fraser, and Michaela Beauchesne. White daisies were placed at the altar by the grandchildren. Personal reflections of the family were read by Janet Brennick and Mike Brennick. A special message written by his son, Robert, representing the beliefs of all of Beau’s children, was read by Janet Brennick.

Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Military honors were rendered by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Andrew and Tucker Phelps, Jacob and Daniel “Lucky” Beauchesne Jr., Timothy, James and John Francis Derouche, and Pete Gallant. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
