RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club of Greater Rumford is hosting its 5th annual summer picnic at the Black Mountain Ski Resort on Saturday, Sept. 21, with the doors open at noon.
As always, great home cooked authentic Lithuanian food, provided by local members, will be served while it lasts along with live music, culture and visiting with friends from near and far.
Cost of the meal is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 10 years of age, and is open to the public.
The local club mission is to embrace, study and preserve our culture, heritage, to shared with family and friends. The club is active all year and membership is open.
The club has traveled to Boston South End Lithuanian Club as their guest with a tour of the Faneuil Hall complex, attended the XIV Lithuanian Dance Festival and recently attended the Putnam Connecticut Lithuanian summer picnic, folk dance and outdoor Mass, celebrated in the Lithuanian language.
