Grief support group to begin

RUMFORD — The first meeting of the Rumford Hospital Grief Support Group is set for Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The group offers support, a forum for discussion and useful information for those working through the various stages of grief. Group participants must be 18 years of age.

The group will meet beginning at 6 p.m. in the lobby at Swift River Family Medicine, 431 Franklin St.

Anyone with questions about the Grief Support Group is urged to call licensed clinical social worker Velma Evans at 369-0146.

Stephens High Class of 1961

RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1961 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Mill Street Cafe in Jay for their monthly luncheon.

Mexico High Class of 1948

MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1948 will meet for dinner and a social evening at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Chicken Coop.

Snowmobile Club plans cookout

DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club will hold a cookout at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at the clubhouse on Canton Point Road.

The free cookout is open to all old and new members. Burgers, hot dogs, salads, drinks and desserts will be available.
