1930 – 2013

AUBURN — Henry DiSotto Jr. 83, a resident of Old Jay Hill Road, Jay, died peacefully, Monday, Sep. 16, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born April 5, 1930, in Livermore Falls, the son of Henry DiSotto Sr. and Elvezia (Lucarelli) DiSotto. He was a 1949 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

On Sept. 3, 1963, in Dixfield, he married Leona (Cochran) Adams, who passed away on Oct. 28, 1995.

Henry worked for International Paper Company in the shipping department for over 40 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Bartlett Memorial United Methodist Church in North Jay and the International Paper Company Quarter Century Club.

He enjoyed gardening and farming his vineyard, but especially loved the time he spent with Leona and his family.

Henry is survived by his sons, Floyd Adams Jr. of Farmington, Clifford Adams and his wife, Lili, of Jay, and Vernon Adams and his wife, Nancy, also of Jay; his daughter, Zetta Wojcik and her husband, Tom, of Weld; grandchildren, Ross Adams, Rebekah Brown, Ryan Adams, Rachel Sprague, Christopher Duffy, Christopher Adams, Andrea Adams, Kathleen Masselli, Aaron Adams, Lindsey Hopkins, Monica Adams, Jennifer Brown, Hilary Casey and Joshua Wojcik; 25 great-grandchildren; his brother, Robert DeSotto and his wife, Collette, of Wilton; his sister, Mary Tognari of Greenfield, Mass.; nephews, John and wife, Nancy, and their daughters, Kristin and Lauren, and David and wife, Janie; and his niece, Doreen, and husband, Robert, and their daughters, Ashley and Amber.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Leona DiSotto; his brother, Philip DiSotto; grandson, Rodrick Adams; and two great-grandchildren.
