PORTLAND — Rebecca L. Ryder of Chesterville and John E. Arsenault of Poland were married Sept. 28 at the Portland Regency Hotel. The Rev. Frances Bagdasarian performed the double-ring ceremony. The couple also participated in the sand unity ceremony as part of their vows. A dinner reception followed the wedding ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her grandson, Jesse Evans, and attended by her daughter, Sarah Ryder, both of West Chester, Pa. The best man was Brent Arsenault of New Gloucester, son of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Timothy Holbrook of Casco, great-grandson of the bridegroom. The junior bridesmaid was Katie Holbrook of Casco, great-granddaughter of the bridegroom. Flower girls were Kaitlyn, Lindsay and Madison Bush of North Andover, Mass., granddaughters of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Eddie Evans of West Chester, Pa., grandson of the bride. Music was provided by pianist, Kelley Muse.

The bride is employed by Franklin Community Health Network in Farmington. The bridegroom is employed by the Gray-New Gloucester School System.

The newlyweds will reside in Chesterville. A honeymoon trip to Hawaii is planned in March.
