Legion chicken pie supper

PARIS — A chicken pie supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the American Legion Hall, 12 Church St.

The meal is sponsored by the Foster-Carroll Auxiliary Unit No. 72.

A dance will follow by the Jones Band from 6:30 to 9:30.

Oxford Historical Society meeting

OXFORD — The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Kay House Museum on 73 Pleasant St.

After a brief business meeting, Polly Barton will present a program on “Life on the Homefront” during World War II.

Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Fall Festival, Christmas Fair

HARTFORD — The annual Fall Festival and Christmas Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Hartford Town Hall, Route 140.

There will be gift ideas, 17 or more crafters, lunches and goodies, fudge and much more. Sponsored by the Hartford Community Church Women’s Association.

Fire Department benefit supper

GREENWOOD — Woodstock Fire Department will host a benefit supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Jackson Silver Post No. 68.

There will be a bounty of food, beverages and desserts for $8 per adult and $5 for children age 11 and under. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of equipment for the Woodstock Fire Department to better serve the community.

Youth Day Hunters Breakfast

PARIS — The Paris Fire Department Auxiliary will sponsor a Youth Day Hunters Breakfast from 5 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Paris Fire Department, Western Avenue.

Menu will feature scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, sausage, pancakes, home fries, toast, juice and coffee. The public is welcome.

Cost is $5 for age 15 and under, $7 for age 16 and older. All proceeds will benefit the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary and Fire Personnel.

Longaberger bingo is Oct. 27

NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care will hold a Longaberger bingo on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Norway Legion Hall, Main Street.

Doors open 11 a.m. Bingo starts 12:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for 16 games of regular bingo. There will be coverall games, raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle and refreshments.

Bridge night at Waterford library

WATERFORD — Bridge night at the Waterford Library will start a new year at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28. The group meets every fourth Monday except December and welcomes all those with some basic knowledge of bridge to come play, either with or without a partner.
