SKOWHEGAN — Police say the driver of a logging truck was killed when it rolled over him before slamming into the front of a Pizza Hut in central Maine.
Police say the crash around 10:30 a.m. Monday in Skowhegan happened before the restaurant opened for the day. The Morning Sentinel identified the victim as 60-year-old Michael Morin, owner of Mike Morin Tree-Length Firewood.
The newspaper says it’s unclear if anyone else was in the restaurant at the time of the crash.
Skowhegan Police Chief Ted Blais said the accident is under investigation. Investigators want to know why the truck started rolling after Morin got out of the cab.
