TEQUESTA, FLA. — Joan M. Taylor (nee McGuckin), died peacefully Nov. 12, in Tequesta, Fla.

Wife of the late Carroll E. Taylor, she was raised in Laverock, Pa., and graduated from Cheltenham High School and Mount Holyoke College. She met her future husband at Richardson and Gordon Engineering in Philadelphia. They were married March 23, 1957, and moved to Auburn, where Carroll had opened his own civil engineering firm. Joan was active in the community, volunteering at the YMCA, League of Women Voters and various standing committees at Mount Holyoke. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, golf, travel and her bridge club. She had a keen interest in business and finance.

Joan is survived by her brother, William J. McGuckin (Carol); brother-in-law, Leon Taylor (Ruth); and 13 nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, James F. McGuckin (Marge) and Robert D. McGuckin (Cathy).
