Key losses: Kristen Anderson (guard), Mariah Treadwell (guard), Jenna Cote (guard).
Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Shannon O’Malley (5-4 guard), Miranda Coombs (5-7 guard), Allie Belaire (5-8 guard), Abbie Robertson (5-4 guard), Cassidy Bunker (5-3 guard), Bri Noniewitz (5-6 forward).
Outlook: The Hornets lost three veteran players, including Anderson, the team’s all-state scorer. Leavitt still returns a solid group of players that saw playing time last year. The Hornets remain relatively young but will continue to improve. Gerrish, who coached the boys’ teams at Mountain Valley and Dirigo, hopes to have a solid defensive team that can push the ball.
