1926 – 2013

AUBURN — Thomas W. Warner Sr., 87, of Middle Avenue in Mexico, died Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Hospice House.

He was born in Rumford on March 6, 1926, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Shea) Warner, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford. Tom served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Tom worked as a runner on the No. 5 paper machine at Boise Cascade Paper Co., in Rumford, until his retirement. He was a member of Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club, the American Legion, the  VFW and the 40&8 Club. He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church.

Tom was married to Germaine Routhier and later to Wilma Record, who predeceased him.

Survivors include his son, Thomas A. Warner Jr. of Bowdoinham; a daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Warner of Rochester, N.H.; and a sister, Anna Justard of Rumford.

He was predeceased by brothers, Wilfred, Arnold and John Warner; daughter, Helen; companion, Tomie Perry; and brother-in-law, Donald Justard.
