AUBURN — Auburn UU will host an Interfaith Service Against Gun Violence from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.

The date marks the one-year anniversary of the Newtown shootings, but pays tribute to the victims of many more shootings that have happened since then.

Local interfaith clergy will share thoughts on this critical issue, as well as music, ritual and prayer. Clergy from Calvary Methodist Church, Temple Shalom, High Street UCC, Church of the Nazarene, the Multi-faith Chaplaincy of Bates College and the Baha’i community will gather.

Rev. Jodi Cohen-Hayashida of Auburn UU will moderate the service.

This event will be held at the First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St. For more information, call 783-0461 or visit www.auburnuu.org.
