1933 – 2013

WATERVILLE — Priscilla D. Beaulieu, 80, of Waterville, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1933, the fifth child of Juliette (Gamache) and Felix LeClair. Her early years found her family on the move and living in a variety of places throughout central Maine. While living on Temple Court, she met her one and only love, Pearly Beaulieu; he had recently returned from the war and was living in a house across the street. Their friendship soon turned to romance and they were married on June 12, 1948, at 6 o’clock in the morning. Her honeymoon by train to Connecticut, Boston and New York City, was one of the best times of her life. Pearly and Priscilla enjoyed 45 years of marriage, before his passing on March 18, 1993.

In 1950, Regis, the first of her three children, was born, followed by Randy in 1952, and Darlene in 1956. Priscilla’s family was complete and the next three decades were filled with joy and wonder as she busied herself with the ups and downs of life. During this period, she worked at Diamond Match, Hathaway and, finally, 30 years at Keyes Fiber, retiring in 1990.

Starting in 1973, her first granddaughter, Laura, was born to Darlene and Bruce Willette, who later added Tiffany and Brayson. Randy and Gretchen produced “Beaulieu’s Angels” — Nicole, Carly and Alexa, while Regis and Patsy gave her Amy and Zach. Her family tree continues to grow with the birth of five great-grandchildren, Catherine and Robert “BJ” to Laura, Wyatt and Liam to Amy and Faye Priscilla to Carly.

Priscilla’s best memories were that of raising her children with Pearly and following their pursuits throughout their lives. Her brothers and sisters and best friend, Marge Harrington, provided her with love and friendship throughout her life. Priscilla also enjoyed the company of a number of pets, especially Shadow, Muffin and Gypsy. Priscilla always had TIME — time to listen, to support and to inquire about your day. She was nonjudgmental, never saying an ill word about others and she was always humble. Most of us strive to be good people — she did it naturally! We have been blessed to have had such an inspiring person among us for so many years.
