EL MIRAGE, Ariz. — Joseph Daniel Lavertu, 41, a resident of El Mirage, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, at his home.

He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 9, 1972, the first son of Robert and Cynthia Lavertu.

He is survived by his son, Devan Allen; his parents, Robert and Cynthia Lavertu; his brother, John Lavertu and family; his brother, James Lavertu and family; his partner, Margaret Rogers and her children, Charlie and Philip Koroma; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

A young life and tender heart has been lost far too early.
