RANGELEY — A local man accused of assaulting a police officer is due to be arraigned at a Farmington court on Jan. 15, police Chief Dennis Leahy said.
Jesse Guyette, 29, of Rangeley was arrested on a charge of assault on an officer on Dec. 28 after police and NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel were called several times to a home on Cross Street, he said. He was accused of fighting with family members and became more aggressive over time, Leahy said.
The last time police were called to the home, Guyette was very aggressive and was not following orders from paramedics and police, the chief said. He grabbed officer Ron Wood by the arm and attempted to strike him, he said.
Wood drew his Taser and told Guyette to lie face down on the floor.
Guyette was taken to the Franklin County jail in Farmington and released on $3,000 unsecured bail Dec. 29.
