RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Daniel Lavorgna was celebrated Saturday morning, Feb. 8, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as celebrant. The altar assistant was Bernard Poirier and the organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “Hosea,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “We Will Rise Again” and “Fly Like A Bird.” Readings from the Old and New Testaments were presented by David J. Blouin and Prayers of the Faithful were read by the Rev. Greg Dube. The eulogy was delivered by his brother, Eddie Lavorgna, and presenting the gifts were his daughter, Holly Joe, and son, Sabin James. Following the funeral Mass, a reception served by St. Timothy Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella, was held in the parish hall. Arrangements were under the care of Meader and Son Funeral Home in Rumford.
