GRAY  — A snowstorm that clipped southern Maine didn’t amount to much in most places. But don’t tell that to the folks in Saco.

The National Weather Service says Saco received 6 inches of snow in the storm that began late Sunday and ended Monday morning.

Meteorologist Margaret Curtis says there was a narrow band of heavier snow from Portland to Kennebunk where up to 4 inches of snow fell.

The next storm is due later in the week. Curtis says precipitation is due on Thursday, but it could be warm enough to cause a mix of snow, sleet and rain.
