HARTFORD — A special election will be held March 11 to fill the remaining term of Selectman Zoe Cowett, who resigned Feb. 6, Selectman Lee Holman said.
Nomination papers are available at the Town Office and must be returned by Feb. 19. Selectmen also serve as tax assessors and overseers of the poor.
Cowett was re-elected for a three-year term in June 2013.
Jack Plumley’s term as selectman expires in June; Holman’s in 2015.
Holman said bid packages for plowing contracts and mowing contracts are available at the Town Office.
She said officials are also seeking a business to print the warrant for the annual town meeting in June.
