1962 – 2014

PORTLAND — Carole A. Brougham passed away on Sunday, March 23, in Portland, at the age of 52.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1962, on a U.S. Army base in Wurzburg, Germany. She lived in Wilton with her significant other of seven years, Kris LaPrell.

Carole was an artistic, free spirit who enjoyed cooking and loved children, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carole graduated from Mt. Blue High School in Farmington and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in special education from the University of Maine at Farmington.

Following college, Carole raised her family and went on to become an ed tech at Cushing School, where she touched the lives of many families.

She is survived by her significant other, Kris LaPrell; sons, Jacob and Tyler Brougham; grandchildren, Noah, Kara and Mathew Brougham; mother, Josepha Worden; sister, Marchelle Meader; and two brothers, Michael and Richard Toothaker.

She was predeceased by her father, Glidden Toothaker.
