Agricultural workshop Saturday

WILTON — The second in a series of free agricultural workshops is set for 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at Wilson Grange Hall 321, Main Street, East Wilton.

At 2 p.m. Maxine Collins from the Wilton Blueberry Farm will demonstrate the proper method for pruning blueberry bushes that will help produce the best crop.

Then, at 3 p.m., those interested will travel to Trask’s Farm in North Jay to learn how to prune apple trees. Trask’s is located off the Keep Road at 11 Trask Lane.

All are welcome.

Supper to benefit Special Olympics

CARTHAGE — A fundraising supper will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Carthage Town Hall. Cost is adults, $7; ages 5 to 12, $4.

The menu will include casseroles, pies, coleslaw and homemade rolls. There will also be a Chinese auction. Funds will benefit Special Olympics. For more information, call Melody Hoover at 357-1421.

Indoor yard, bake sale scheduled

WILTON — An indoor yard sale and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Academy Hill School cafeteria.

Proceeds will be donated to the Wilton Blueberry Festival Mega Body Event. Donations for the sale are welcome. Call the school at 645-4188 for details.
