NORWAY — Greta Giasson, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School senior and student of Art Moves Dance Studio, will travel to Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, this month to dance at the Federal University School of Dance.

Sponsored by Cottage Street Creative Exchange, Inc., a nonprofit which also funds free dance classes for local kids, the trip allows Giasson to study and rehearse along with dance majors at the university. She hopes to major in dance in college.

The Exchange will host a Brazilian Dinner Party from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 12, on the second floor of the Art Moves Building, 13 Cottage St.

Advanced tickets are $20 at Books’n’Things until Wednesday, April 9, and $25 at the door. All things Brazil will be celebrated.

Those who cannot attend the dinner but would like to give to the Exchange and receive a souvenir from Brazil should email Artistic Director Debi Irons at [email protected]. For more information, email Irons, call 743-5569, or go to artmovesdance.com.
