1936 – 2014

NORWAY — Laurence “Mickey” D. Bartlett, 78, of Poland died Saturday, April 12, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Poland on April 7, 1936, the son of Edward C. and Marion O’Connor Bartlett. He attended schools in Poland and graduated from Casco High School.

He faithfully served in the U. S. Air Force. He had been employed at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut and later at Poland Spring Inn as a cook. He loved being on the family farm.

He is survived by two sisters, Sandra Tyrell of Waterville and Phyllis Welch of Norway; a sister-in-law, Eunice Long of Casco; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Betty Clements, Raymond Bartlett, Lucille Packard and Bradley Bartlett; nephews, Brian Whittier and Ray Bunker Bartlett; and a niece, Rebecca BanDeParre.
