1942 – 2014

LEWISTON — Emilienne A. Nadeau, 71, a resident of Lewiston, died Sunday, April 13, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston on July 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Emile and Bertha Madore Nadeau. She attended Lewiston schools and graduated from St. Dominic High School in 1965.

She was a homemaker and raised her sister’s children.

Emilienne was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church, where she was very active. She taught CCD for 25 years and was involved with the Center Parish Ministry and the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality. She also was active on the Catholic Committee on Scouting, and helped with many scouting retreats and received the St. George Award. In 2007, she was honored as the recipient of the Immaculate Conception Award from the Portland Diocese.

She is survived by her niece, Anne M. Gervais, of Lewiston; and a nephew, Mark Gervais, and his children, Bailey and Tyler, and their mother, Shannon, of Agawam, Mass.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Jeannine Gervais; and a brother-in-law, Angelo Gervais.
