1941 – 2014

AUBURN — Henri L. Sehl, 73, of 48 Sylvan Ave., Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday May 7, with his loving family surrounding him at the Hospice House of Androscoggin following a long illness.

He was born in Levis, P.Q., Canada on Feb. 18, 194,1 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Parent) Sehl.

He was educated in Canadian schools. On March 25, 1977, he moved to the United States, and on May 7, 1977, he married the love of his life Rena F. Boucher.

He was employed at D’Youville Pavilion for 32 years until his retirement in 2009.

Henri enjoyed his football pools, which he often won, and watching hockey. He loved to read and share Auto Hunter magazines. He also enjoyed frequent trips to the Dairy Joy with his grandchildren. He liked going on bus trips to Atlantic City, various sugar shacks and loved visiting family in Quebec several times a year.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rena F. Sehl; a son, Jason and his companion, Nancy Morin, of Lewiston; a daughter, Melissa Foley and her husband, Jerry, of Lewiston; a brother, Andre Sehl of Quebec; his five grandchildren, whom Henri especially enjoyed, Brittany and Jeremy Foley, Katie, Kimmie and Ben Sehl.

He was predeceased by a younger sister, Jeannine Sehl.
