I write to support the nomination of Kevin Raye as the Republican candidate for Congress. I have watched him grow to become a highly respected leader as the president of the Maine State Senate. He was nominated by the Republican Party, but he received the votes of every member of the Senate.
Raye is a common-sense conservative who knows how to get things done. During this campaign, I have had the opportunity to listen to both candidates several times. It is clear that the choice is between a style of confrontation and a style of seeking solutions.
Kevin Raye will seek solutions. Rather than be pegged as an ideologue, he will gain the respect that enables him to protect Maine interests.
I hope all Republicans will join me in support of Kevin Raye in the June primary.
