FARMINGTON — On Friday, June 20, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Farmington Community Center, people who love to sing will gather to sing just for the joy of it.

Eileen Liddy is starting this because she loves to sing, but can’t carry a tune unless she sings with other people and she can’t sing harmony either. So this free gathering is to provide an opportunity for people like Eileen to sing with others. It’s also for those who can carry a tune and/or sing harmony.

All are welcome.

It’s also for people who don’t want to make a commitment to a singing group and just want to come to sing. If you have a musical instrument you can bring with you, please do so.

However, Eileen requests that you bring with you the words of three or four  you want to sing with other people. Bring at least three or four copies of each song so everyone can sing along.

The free gathering will meet in the basement of the Farmington Community Center, 126 Middle St. Use the basement door on the apartment side of the building. The meeting room is on the left.
