LEWISTON – The wedding of Brianna Mathieu and Richard Bourgeois was held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 30 at St. Peter and Paul Basilica in Lewiston. The Rev. Bob Vaillancourt officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bourgeois is the daughter of Larry and Diane Mathieu of Greene. Mr. Bourgeois is the son of Richard and Debbe Bourgeois of Conway, N.H.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Christin Casavant, cousin of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Audra Mercier, friend of the bride, and Mariah Carrier, Sarah Casavant and Hillary Casavant, cousins of the bride. Kyla Wallace, friend of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best man for his friend was Nicholas Adams. Ushers were Jonathan Mathieu, brother of the bride, and Shannon Hartley, Tony Collins and Christopher Denlinger, friends of the bridegroom. Joseph Atkins, nephew, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Lost Valley in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Aruba.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in new media from the University of Maine. She is office manager at Mathieu Saw and Tool, Inc.

The bridegroom received an associate degree in machine tool technology from Central Maine Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Southern Maine. He is a manufacturing engineer at Symmetry Medical Riley.
