BETHEL – The wedding of Rebecca Pauline Bergeron and Christopher Murphy was held at 2 p.m. on July 5 at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Bethel.

Mrs. Murphy is the daughter of Terry and Pamela Bergeron of Jay. Mr. Murphy is the son of Robert and Brenda Murphy of Brewer.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a halter style gown with silk skirt and carried a bouquet of pink roses and white hydrangea.

Amy McDonough, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Carrie Prescott and Ericka Murphy, sisters of the bridegroom, and DeeDee St. Peter, Nichole Jackson, Heather Arsenault and Meghan Kerry, friends.

Ben and Chris Roeder, friends, served as best men. Ushers were Kevin Turner, Ryan Foss, Jon Rand, Mike Davis, Jeremy Somes and Aaron Boone.

A reception followed at the Grand Summit Resort at Sunday River, after which the couple traveled to the Sandals Resort in the Bahamas. They are residing in Gray.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Jay High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in secondary education. She received a master’s degree in 2000 in secondary education from the University of Maine at Orono. She is an English teacher at Wells High School in Wells.

The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Brewer High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed at American Refrigeration Engineering Co. Inc.
