ROCKPORT – The wedding of Jenny Morissette and Thomas Meyer was held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 30 at the Samoset Resort in Rockport.

Mrs. Meyer is the daughter of Robert and Pauline Morissette of Auburn. Mr. Meyer is the son of John and Kathleen Meyer of Long Island, N.Y.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white satin strapless gown in A-line style with side draped bodice and asymmetric skirt. She carried a bouquet of hydrangea and Cala lilies.

Claire Girardin was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Rachel Weymouth, Brenda Joly and Nicole Benoit, sisters of the bride. Rita Benoit, godchild of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best man for his brother was Kevin Meyer. Ushers were Michael Meyer and John Meyer, brothers of the bridegroom, and Paul Morissette, brother of the bride. Ring bearers were Jack Meyer, godchild of the bridegroom, and Joseph Morissette, godchild of the couple.

A reception followed in the grand ballroom at the Samoset Resort, after which the couple traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for two weeks.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2005 graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and a minor in biology. She also received a master’s degree in communications in 2006 from New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan. She is employed as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company in New York City.

The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Bethpage High School and a 1999 graduate of SUNY Albany, with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in business. He is currently employed as a computer analyst for Societe Generale Investment Bank in Jersey City, N.J.
