ROCKPORT – The wedding of Suzanne Kathryn Buzby and Ryan Patrick Hersey was held at 4 p.m. on July 26 at the Samoset Resort in Rockport. Steven Woodsum, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hersey is the daughter of Charles and Lorilee Buzby of Califon, N.J. Mr. Hersey is the son of Paul and Therese Hersey of Farmington.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory lace gown in A-line style and she carried a bouquet of white roses and blue hydrangea.

Christina Arbogast, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Elisabeth Anderson and Jessica Chamberlain, friends, and Denise Wynn, sister. Alyssa Wynn, niece, was flower girl.

Performing the duties of best man for his friend was Drew Dingley. Ushers were Michael Hersey, brother, and Todd Chamberlain, Brian Mawhinney and Jimmy McCaskill, friends.

A reception followed at the Samoset Resort, after which the couple traveled to Bermuda. They are residing in Portland.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Voorhees High School in Lebanon Township, N.J., and is a 2003 graduate of the University of New Hampshire in Durham. She is a teacher at Winfield Children’s House, a Montessori school in Falmouth.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Mt. Blue High School in Farmington and a 2003 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington. He is is currently enrolled at the University of Southern Maine, pursuing a master’s degree in educational administration. He is a teacher at Thornton Academy in Saco.
