JAY – The wedding of Amanda Nichole Woods of Bowdoin and William Michael Martin of Farmington was held July 19 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. The Rev. John Gallagher officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Martin is the daughter of Lynn Woods and Eric Woods. Mr. Martin is the son of Maureen Martin and Michael Martin.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a lace-sleeved satin gown with pearl beads on the scalloped bodice and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses with baby’s breath.

Erica Woods, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Best man was John Martin, brother of the bridegroom. Readers during the Mass were Joanne Chancy, Vicki Dean and Michael Martin, and altar servers were David and Isaac Dean.

A reception followed at St. Rose Parish Hall. The couple is residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, finishing her degree in rehabilitation with an internship at Lutheran Social Services in Auburn.

The bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in business economics. He is employed at ING in Lewiston.
