GREENE – Harland and Barbara Lyman of Greene recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. A gathering was held at the Green Ladle in Lewiston. Party hosts were children of the couple, Pam Perron, Lisa Bubier, Linda Harris, Janet Eustis, Jodi Beck and Jadine Crane.

Table centerpieces of hydrangea was arranged by a granddaughter, Sarah Bubier. Mums in white and burgundy decorated the stage, along with gold and ivory balloons. Daughter Lisa Bubier made the three-tier anniversary cake decorated with gold ribbon and topped with a teacup filled with flowers.

A video of pictures of family and friends was shown and the couple received a letter of congratulations from President George Bush and Laura Bush. Linda Harris had charge of the guest book. Speeches were given by Pam Perron, Rebekah Bubier, Lisa Bubier and Ben Alden.

Mr. Lyman and the former Barbara Walker were married Sept. 20, 1958, at the South Lewiston Baptist Church in Lewiston.

Their children are Pamela and Richard Perron, Lisa and Brian Bubier, Linda and Jim Harris, Janet and Mark Eustis, Jodi and Doug Beck and Jadine and David Crane.

Their grandchildren are Bradley and Elysia Perron, Christopher Perron, Danielle Perron, Josh and Kara Bubier, Rebekah and Fred Brockway, Sarah Bubier, Ben and Sarah Alden, Steve Alden, Amanda and Rob Howard, Josh Harris and Jeremy Harris, Anna Eustis, Torri Eustis and Marlaina Eustis and Garrison Beck and Sabrina Beck. They also have a great-grandson, Michael Alden.

Mrs. Lyman retired from Bell Atlantic in 1998 and works part time for Weight Watchers of Maine. She is a member of the Greene Baptist Church and Gideons International Auxiliary.

Mr. Lyman retired from NRF Distributors in 2008 and is a member of the Greene Baptist Church and Gideons International.
