PORTLAND – The wedding of Chelsea Bennett Eastman and Patrick Dennis Merrill was held at 3:30 p.m., June 7, at the Allen Avenue Universalist Church in Portland. The Rev. Richard Sheesley officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Nancy Eastman of Falmouth. The bridegroom is the son of Dennis and Judith Merrill of Readfield.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown trimmed with red about the bodice and train. She carried a bouquet of white orchids and red roses.
Mindy Petrick, a college friend, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan Eastman, sister, Veronica Feigel, sister-in-law, and D.A. Leary and Danielle Freeman, friends of the bride.
Aaron Donaghy, a lifetime friend, was best man. Ushers were Lt. Harry Feigel III, brother-in-law, Andy Shevenell, Darren Winchenbach and Matthew Beal.
A reception followed at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks.
The bride, a graduate of the University of New England in 2006, earned a bachelor’s degree in educational studies and is employed at Little Hands Day Care and Learning in Falmouth.
The bridegroom, a graduate of Central Maine Community College in 2003, earned his associate degree in computer technology and is employed at Hannaford’s Corporate Office in Scarborough.
The couple is residing in Portland and plan a trip to Bermuda.
