August 1– FREE Boat Rides on Wilson Lake as part of the Wilton Blueberry Festival. The Friends of Wilton Lake offer free rides on safe, stable pontoon boats, weather permitting. Canal Street boat launch.

August 1-2– 32nd annual Wilton Blueberry Festival. Join us in Wilton for more than 60 unique events throughout the weekend. The festival has something for everyone! Start off the weekend with one of Maine’s largest parades on Saturday morning. Come and enjoy crafters, vendors, and top performance artists: Re-Creation at Academy Hill School on Aug. 1 at 7:15 p.m. The festivities are wrapped up with a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday night.

August 9 — LEAP’s 8th annual Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will take place at the Sandy River Gold Club in New Sharon. All proceeds will benefit LEAP, INC and its non-Medicaid-funded programs. August 10-17 — Phillips Old Home Days is the highlight of the year for the surrounding community. It is a week of festivities, contests and celebration, featuring bathtub, bike and running races, a parade, a street dance, lumberman’s competition, flower show, quilt show, photo contest, and a duck derby.

August 26 — Meet The Lenders is an event of the Small Business Administration. 9-11:30 a.m. at UMF’s North Dining Hall. September 12 — The 12th annual Seth Wescott and Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Golf Classic at Sugarloaf Golf Club. 8 a.m. tee time.
