TURNER – Stephen and Tracy Leavitt of Harpswell are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Leavitt of Washington, D.C., to Faiz Vahidy of Washington, D.C., son of Dr. Misbah and Nasim Vahidy of Cheshire, Conn.

The future bride is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner and received a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University. She is employed at Freddie Mac Investment and Capital Markets.

The future bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and is employed at Houde Financial Investment Banking.

The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Aug. 23 in Harpswell.
