WELLS – Rebecca Elise Suffern Lamet and Luke Roger Lazure were married at 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Wells Historic Meetinghouse in Wells, by the Rev. Dr. Peter Wells. Following the ceremony, a lively reception was held at Laudholm Farm in Wells.

The bridegroom is a son of Ivan and Lucille Lazure of Lewiston. He is assistant vice president/business analyst with Citigroup in Portland. He received a bachelor’s degree from St. Michael’s College, Colchester, Vt., in business administration in 2000, and graduated from Saint Dominic Regional High School in Lewiston in 1996.

The bride is a daughter of Maryélise and Sterling Lamet of Cape Neddick and Shutesbury, Mass. She is memberships and volunteer coordinator at Portland Harbor Museum and will receive a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine in American and New England studies in May. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2003 after which she was a reporter for the York County Coast Star and for Mainebiz. She graduated from Amherst (Mass.) Regional High School in 1999.

Sister of the bride, Eugenia Corbett, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laurel Killough, Laura Machala, Jennifer Orrigo, Sarah Sutton and Angela Wahler, all friends of the bride.

A close friend of the bridegroom, Jason Theriault, was best man. Groomsmen were Donald and Marc Lazure, brothers of the bridegroom, Abram Corbett, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Carl Falvey and Jeff Jalbert, friends of the bridegroom.

The father of the bridegroom and the mother of the bride delivered readings during the ceremony and the uncle of the bride, the Rev. Edward Suffern, offered the wedding prayer. Many friends and family contributed music to the ceremony and the reception including Gustavo Fernandes, guitar; Eugenia Corbett, piano; Sterling Lamet, clarinet; Kate Suffern, vocal; Johanna Suffern, violin; Rachel Suffern, piano; Gary Bernhard, piano; Jay Killough, drums; and Mike Ross, baritone.

The couple honeymooned in Switzerland and the Canary Islands. The couple resides in Lewiston.
