VALDEZ, Alaska – Joshua Joseph Swierk and Tabatha Lee Bolduc were married June 16 in Valdez, Alaska.
The bridegroom, a 1998 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, attended the University of Maine and graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation and tourism.
The bride, a 1997 graduate of Winslow High School, also attended the University of Maine and graduated in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in food science and human nutrition.
They have been living in Alaska since 2004 and currently Mr. Swierk is the hotel manager for the Totem Inn and also works for Valdez Heli Ski Guides each spring, one of five heli-skiing operations in Valdez. Mrs. Swierk works for the Parks and Recreation Department for the city of Valdez and is also the restaurant and bar manager for the Totem Inn.
The couple is building a lodge in Valdez and will be ready to accommodate guests by March of 2009.
