PORTLAND – The wedding of Kristin Joy Messana and David Gregory Ciampa was held at 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Central Square Baptist Church in Portland. The Revs. Stephen Carnahan and Harold Carpenter officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Ciampa is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Richard Messana of Livermore. Mr. Ciampa is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Ciampa of Portsmouth, R.I.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown of white satin with dropped waist and full skirt. She carried a bouquet of roses, Calla lilies and hydrangea.
A friend of the bride, Allison Ross, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Sarah Mawn and Alexandra Dietrich, friends of the bride, and Emily Ciampa, sister of the bridegroom. Alexis Eckert, friend of the couple, was flower girl.
A brother of the bridegroom, Christopher Ciampa, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were David Messana and Jonathan Messana, brothers of the bride, Gregory Klein and Christopher McMahon, friends of the bridegroom, and Anthony Teixeira, friend of the couple. Zachary Carpenter and William Messana, cousins of the bride, were ring bearers.
A reception followed at Spring Meadows Country Club in Gray, after which the couple traveled to the Portafino Bay Resort in Orlando, Fla. They are residing in Portland.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern Maine and is a child care professional in Portland.
