LEWISTON – William and Janice Healey formerly of Lewiston, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with a renewal of their vows at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, with the Rev. Michael Seavey officiating.

Their attendants were William Healey Jr., son of the couple, and Suzanne Wade, Mrs. Healey’s sister. Following the ceremony, a slide show put together by family friend Carrie Lacasse was presented. Keeping with family tradition, a song was written for the couple by their children, Debra Crandall, William Jr., Susan Pilote and Lisa Laliberte.

In attendance were relatives and friends from as far away as Canada and as close as the old Fair Street neighborhood. Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren shared in the festivities. Good food, music and dancing made the evening memorable, as did the song “Kansas City,” sung by Mr. Healey at his family’s request.

The couple is planning a second honeymoon at Old Orchard Beach, where they honeymooned 50 years ago.
