AUGUSTA – The wedding of Bethany Ann Hinkley and Shawn Paul Peluso was held at 6 p.m. on June 2 at the Legion Hall in Augusta. Chuck Hinkley, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Peluso is the daughter of Carl and Jane Hinkley of Wales. Mr. Peluso is the son of Joe and Diane Peluso of Presque Isle.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless white flowing chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of Calla lilies and orchids.

A life-long friend of the bride, Amie (Amy) Lachance, was honor attendant. Carne Hinkley, a friend, was bridesmaid.

Chad Haskell served as best man for his friend. Jim Murphy, another friend, was usher.

A reception followed at the Legion Hall in Augusta, after which the couple traveled to St. Lucia at Sandal’s Resort in the Caribbean. They are residing in Gardiner.

The bride is a graduate of Central Maine Technical College, with an associate degree in architectural and civil engineering technology. She is a home designer at Pineland Lumber.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Northern Maine Technical College, with an associate degree in drafting technology. He is self-employed at Kennebec Valley Drafting in Augusta.
