RUMFORD – Announcement is made of the engagement of Michelle Magoon and Ryan Whitaker of Magna, Utah.

Miss Magoon is the daughter of Vicki Gill of Rumford and Kenneth H. Magoon of South Rumford. She is a 1995 graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford and attended Johnson and Wales College in Providence, R.I., majoring in international business.

Mr. Whitaker is the son of Sharon Whitaker of Brigham City, Utah, and Ivan and Linnea Whitaker of Brigham City, Utah. He is a 1996 graduate of Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah, and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He is currently employed at A.T.V. Lunch Systems in Magna, Utah.

A Sept. 13 wedding will be held in Utah.
