DOVER, N.H. — The Rev. Doris L. Hayes, 85, a resident of Maple Suites in Dover, N.H., died Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Sumner on April 18, 1929, she was the daughter of Wallace and Elva (Brock) Hazelton. She was a graduate of West Paris High School and attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where she studied ministry.

Doris enjoyed cooking, music and bridge.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Erwin R. Hayes; three children, Diane Spires and her husband, Terry, Tim Hayes and his wife, Cindy, and Wally Hayes and his wife, Mary; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Joe Casalinova; a brother, Nathan Hazelton and his wife, Jane; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Joy Casalinova.
