AUBURN – Jaren Aimee Bates and Mark Ryan Gabrych were married on Oct. 21 at the First Universalist Church in Auburn. The Rev. Dr. Peter L. Misner performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Harrison and Constance Bates of Winthrop. She is the granddaughter of Harry Bates and the late Delphine Bates of Winthrop and the late Royal and Edwina Stevens of Leeds.
The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Donna Gabrych of Titusville, Fla. He is the grandson of Elmer and Maxine Gabrych of Winona, Minn., and the late Leonard and Ruth Dorsch of Winona, Minn.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white strapless organza A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and a chapel train, with a matching fingertip veil and tiara. She carried a bouquet of white roses, alstroemeria and stephanotis.
Bridesmaids were Danielle Deprey of North Monmouth, Nicole Hamner of Windsor and Stacey Hamner of Winthrop, nieces of the bride, and Katrina Dobrzelewski of Exton, Pa., Sarah Dressler of Santa Ana, Calif., and Jessica Newton of Glassboro, N.J., friends of the bride.
The best man was Matthew Self of Denver, Colo., friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen included Kevin Gabrych of Hollywood, Calif., brother of the bridegroom, and friends of the bridegroom, Ed Adelman of Warrington, Pa., Jason Hasko of Parrish, Fla., and Dave Kunkle and Nic Van Cott, both of Titusville, Fla. Ushers were Justin Deprey of South Gardiner and H. Matthew Hamner of Winthrop, nephews of the bride.
A reception was held at the Ramada Conference Center in Lewiston. The couple honeymooned in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, and they reside in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride is a graduate of Winthrop High School and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Titusville High School and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. They both earned clinical doctorates from Central Michigan University.
