TURNER – The wedding of Shawna Keene and Joshua Caleb Martell was held at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Turner. Pastor Todd Bell officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Martell is the daughter of Frank and Christine Keene of Jay. Mr. Martell is the son of Francis and Dorothy Martell of Sanford.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Lisa MacKillop, friend of the bride, was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Sharon Loehr and Jessica Schweigart, friends of the bride. Negel Martell, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Jonathan Martell served as best man for his brother, and ushers were Timothy Martell, another brother, and Lincoln Keene, brother of the bride. Timmy Martell, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Calvary Baptist Church.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Calvary Christian Academy and a 2005 graduate of Houghton College with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. She is also a 2006 graduate of Syracuse University with a master’s degree in computer science.

The bridegroom is a 1998 home school graduate and a 2003 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and piano performance. He is also a 2005 graduate of Houghton College Greatbatch School of Music with a master’s degree in piano performance.
