MECHANIC FALLS – The wedding of Katharine Eunice Vincent and Jared Allen McKay was held at 3 p.m. on June 10 at the Pleasant Street Baptist Church in Mechanic Falls. Pastor Tim McKellick officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. McKay is the daughter of Chuck and Laura Vincent of Mechanic Falls. Mr. McKay is the son of James McKay of New Gloucester and the late Laurie McKay.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown in Cinderella style and carried a bouquet of pink, white and yellow roses with cascading greenery.

Valerie Young was matron of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were Jen Paradis and Charity Norris, sisters of the bridegroom, Emily Goss, friend, Emily Vincent, sister-in-law of the bride, Devan McKay, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and Andrea Vincent, sister-in-law of the bride. Elizabeth Young and Lily Vincent, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.

Benjamin McKay performed the duties of best man for his brother, and ushers were Gerry Paradis, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Ken Norris, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Nick McKay, brother of the bridegroom, John Whittier, cousin of the bridegroom, and Tristan Starbird, Alex Heldman, Travis Soule, Tim Dubois and Joel Dubois, friends of the bridegroom. Brady Vincent, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Mechanic Falls, after which the couple traveled to the Dominican Republic. They are residing in Poland.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2006 graduate of Central Maine Community College, with a degree in business administration and management. She is employed as assistant to the co-curricular director at Poland Regional High School.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Eastgate Christian Academy and is employed as warehouse manager at Window Reps of Maine in Lewiston.
