WILTON — Police are trying to track down the person who has been slashing tires around High and School streets within the past month.
The most recent case was a Jeep Grand Cherokee on School Street that had four tires slashed, Wilton police Sgt. Chad Abbott said Tuesday.
The incident occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning when it was discovered and reported to police. It appears the a knife or other instrument was used, he said. The damage was estimated at about $500.
“It appears to be fairly random and not targeting a specific person,” Abbott said.
He asks that anyone with information call the Police Department at 645-3876.
