DEAR SUN SPOTS: Will Sun Spots please refer me to a dog behavioral trainer, preferably in the Jay, Wilton or Farmington areas?

A lady by the name of Dianne — previously associated with the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society — often came to Farmington for weekly classes.

It’s unfortunate I do not recall her last name. I’m sure Sun Spots will have this popular lady’s name at hand and will know if she still has classes and if she accepts pet enrollments in her classes.

I will be appreciative of whatever information you can provide. — B.M., Livermore Falls

ANSWER: Sun Spots is sorry to say that she has no Rolodex listing for dog trainers and does not know Dianne. Hopefully, she, or another trainer, will see your request and respond.

You can also try the two professional organizations for trainers: the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (www.ccpdt.org) and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (www.apdt.com). Both websites have lengthy lists of trainers/behaviorists in Maine.

Recently there was a notice in the column about a person selling Fuller Brush items who was going out of business. Is there another person in the area who sells these products?

I will be reading your column daily as I never fail to do so. — No Name, Auburn

ANSWER: Norm McGraw of the Fuller Brush Store and More in Auburn told Sun Spots he was retiring early this summer. Although he intended to sell some products from his home, Sun Spots doesn’t think it included Fuller Brush.

However, during that exchange in the column, Fuller Brush representative Alice Flanders wrote to Sun Spots. She can help you at [email protected]. Or, alternatively, you can buy online at fullerdirect.com.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have two Bibles that are falling apart. I would like to know if there is a place in Lewiston or Auburn that does rebinding? They are hard-cover Bibles, but they are falling apart. I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you. — Bonnie via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots doesn’t know of any bookbinders in Lewiston, but Carlson & Turner Antiquarian Books & Bookbindery, 241 Congress St., Portland, 207-773-4200, should be able to help you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I guess you are so named because you are about the brightest part of our day. And I’m thankful for that.

We have a Kenmore microwave oven that is as clean and as neat as a pin or a whistle, and it’s free to the first caller from a nonprofit.

The oven capacity is 14 by 9 by 15 inches (1.2 cubic feet) and 120V. It’s not brand new, but it is in excellent condition. The model number is 721.63263. Instructions are included.

We’re downsizing (which means we’re getting older and don’t have room for it anymore). — sueb2, 207-998-2580

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a Kodak slide projector that will take a model number 140 carousel.
